Planteray Rum unveils its oldest rum to date, a 40 year old Jamaican rarity from the Clarendon distillery, proudly carrying the MMW (Monymusk Wedderburn) mark.

Limited to just one unique barrel, Planteray Rum reveils 317 numbered bottles. Each personally signed by Master Blender, Alexandre Gabriel. A wooden cork that is carefully crafted by hand from the authentic cask staves that nurtured this rum, encapsulating the 40 year maturation journey.

Nose: Very complex and slightly smoky initially. This becomes meaty and fruity with herbal, sour notes. Next vanilla comes forward, almost pastry-like with cooked banana, bitter orange peel and ripe pineapple.

Palate: Dry with a floral and fruity profile of rose water, sourop, pear, white grape, apricot and sugar-apple. Next coconut milk, balsam, allspice, bread and nuts emerge.
